Matrixyl

Matrixyl

Matrixyl® is an innovative cosmetic ingredient known for its ability to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin in the skin. It acts as a "messenger" that sends signals to skin cells, promoting their regeneration from within.

This peptide mimics the action of matriquins, which are natural compounds released during the degradation of collagen and elastin. Matriquins signal fibroblasts, the cells in charge of collagen and elastin production, to stimulate new synthesis. Like natural matriquins, Matrixyl helps to reactivate this regeneration process.

Epidermis Dermis skin

In our Anakena multi-active face cream, Matrixyl is presented under the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) name: Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3, formulated with butylene glycol, carbomer and polysorbate 20 to optimize its efficacy and absorption.

Matrixyl has been shown to be effective in reducing wrinkles and improving skin texture in numerous clinical studies. In addition to reducing wrinkles and improving elasticity, it also contributes to increased skin hydration and protection against damage caused by environmental factors.

It is suitable for all skin types and especially beneficial for mature skin or skin showing early signs of aging. Results may vary depending on skin type and consistent use of the product.

It can be found in the following product: multiactive face cream.
