The name Vai Marama means “Moon Water” in Rapa Nui, a choice that reflects the interest of its owner, Ariana Icka Silva, in astrology, the energies of the universe, and everything that connects beauty, intuition, and personal expression.
The store opened its doors in late 2020, initially as a boutique specializing in women’s clothing and accessories. Over time, Vai Marama expanded its offerings to include children’s fashion, a selection of men’s clothing, fragrances, footwear, and other carefully curated products for personal care and grooming.
For Anakena, this retail location holds special significance, as Ariana Icka Silva is not only the owner of Vai Marama but also one of our Anakena models. Her youthful, natural, and authentic image perfectly embodies a contemporary expression of Rapa Nui, in keeping with the spirit of our brand.
