We are back home after the incredible opportunity we have had to participate in the very important international cosmetics trade fair Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas 2024which took place between July 23 and 25. We can only be filled with gratitude and excitement for the fantastic experiences and opportunities we found there.
To be able to attend this prestigious trade fair together with the trade mission of ProChile has marked an important milestone for our company "Rapa Nui Natural Products".®"and our brand, Anakena® - Natural Cosmetics. It was a pleasure to connect with five other Chilean companies, sharing knowledge and experiences that enriched our trip.
The classes provided by ProChile were invaluable, as they gave us an in-depth look at market entry and marketing strategies tailored to the U.S. market, while facilitating new connections.
We also explored "Cosmopack", where we found beautiful packaging inspirations and potential suppliers for the new products we already have in development and will be launching soon.
We were very surprised to discover that the market for natural and organic cosmetics in the United States is still relatively undeveloped. The US beauty industry's low awareness of sustainability and natural products is a challenge and a task for us.
At Anakena, we are clear that our priority will be to introduce our organic and cruelty-free products in the U.S. market, for which we need to find suitable business partners, distributors and online stores, where the "green community" is already present and "indie" brands with our same philosophy are valued.
We were also able to attend a talk by "CosmoTalks" focused on US regulations concerning cosmetics. What we had already researched on the subject, plus what we learned at the talk, made us aware of the surprising lack of regulation in the US market, even despite the introduction of new laws (MoCRA = Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act), and how this impacts consumers of beauty products.
As we look to the future, even with several challenges, we are more motivated than ever to expand our presence and share our unique beauty products along with the heritage of Rapa Nui - Easter Island, with the U.S. market. Here's to new beginnings, future collaborations and a sustainable and beautiful future for all.
