Nari Nari - Farándula Tapati Rapa Nui

The farándula, or Nari Nari, is the parade that marks the end of the Tapati Rapa Nui celebration on Easter Island. It is one of the most joyful moments of the whole Tapati since it is a beautiful parade with floats where the whole community participates wearing their most beautiful ancestral costumes.

The caravan goes through the main streets of Hanga Roa and ends in Hana Vare Vare, on the main stage of the Tapati. Entire families participate in the parade singing and dancing, along with the dance groups that performed during the previous days.

This year the Tapati 2021 has been a little different because due to the pandemic no tourists have arrived to the island, who usually also participate accompanying the show. It has been a party only for the inhabitants of Rapa Nui and that is why the show became a wonderful reunion among its people.

Tapati Rapa Nui 2021 has been an unforgettable week, organized with love and paying special attention to the care of the environment. A party that has undoubtedly nourished and strengthened the spirit of the Rapa Nui culture!
