MONOÏ DE TAHITI - APPELLATION D'ORIGINE

Monoï de Tahiti is the first cosmetic product in the world to receive an Appellation d'Origine. The Appellation d'Origine label was established by the French Decree of April 1, 1992, which precisely defines the production standards, the authorized ingredients and the geographical area of elaboration - exclusively French Polynesia.

This seal guarantees that Monoï has been produced in Tahiti by macerating Tiare Tahiti flowers (Gardenia tahitensis) of Polynesian origin in refined coconut oil (coprah), following traditional local processes under permanent control. It confirms the authentic origin of its ingredients, the quality of its manufacture and the traceability of the entire production process. You can consult the original decree here.

Both Monoï oils in the Anakena line - Monoï de Tahiti Tiaré and Monoï de Tahiti Ra'a Pura-Pura - bear this seal, which you will find on the label on the back of each bottle. This is not a seal exclusive to Anakena, but an internationally recognized appellation of origin that applies to all Monoï made in French Polynesia under these strict conditions.
