reflections on changes

Moments when life needs a change

An experience that many of us share throughout our lives is that of reaching a point, at some point in our lives, when we realize that "something" is wrong or is not as it should be.

If that "something" that makes us feel stuck, with no way out or in constant trouble is a fundamental pillar of our life such as family, relationships, friends, work or physical or mental health, then, as painful as it may seem, the most sensible thing to do is to recognize that we need to take the reins and make a change.

Taking a step forward and changing course is not easy, but it is certainly the best thing we can do for ourselves. If something is not working, it is time to change the direction of our life, aim for new horizons and trust that when one door closes a better one always opens.
If you have reached that point, we want to share with you some reflections from Rania Naim:

"You have permission to leave. You have permission to walk away from whatever story you are living in that you don't find yourself in or love yourself.
You have permission to leave that city that puts out your light instead of making you shine. You have permission to pack your bags and start over somewhere else. You can redefine the meaning of your life.
You have permission to leave today that job you hate and that does not allow you to be who you really are, even if the whole world tells you not to. You have permission to look for something that fills you with illusion and makes you look at tomorrow with joy.
You have permission to walk away from that person you love but who treats you badly. You have permission to put yourself first, stop settling and walk away if you have tried over and over again but nothing has changed.
You have permission to let go of toxic friends. You have permission to surround yourself with love and people who encourage and nurture you. You can choose the kind of energy you need in your life.
You have permission to forgive yourself, no matter if your mistakes have been big or small, you can be kind to yourself and love yourself unconditionally. You have permission to look in the mirror and recognize that you really like the person you see.
You have permission to free yourself from your own expectations and of course from the expectations of others.
We often see quitting as a bad thing or associate it with giving up or giving in, but sometimes quitting is the best thing you can do for yourself.
Leaving allows you to change direction, to start over, to rediscover yourself and the world.
Leaving can save you from getting stuck in the wrong place with the wrong people.
Leaving opens a new door for change, growth, opportunity and redemption.
You always have the option to leave until you find where you belong and what makes you happy.
You can even leave your old self behind and reinvent yourself."

Trust the voice of your heart if it tells you that you need to make a change. Trust the universe if you don't yet see the new path, it will surely be waiting for you. Don't hide in fear or comfort, which will make your light dim. If something is not going well, always look for a solution, a change, a way out. Remember that to change course is not to run away but to move forward.
