April 2022 is a month of celebration for Tahiti and the whole of Polynesia, because it will be 30 years since Tahiti Monoï Oil was recognized with the Denomination of Origin seal, making it the first cosmetic product to have this distinction.
Obtaining this seal was a great achievement and is a source of pride for all those involved in the production of this wonderful oil, from the cultivation of the Tiare flower, the obtaining of the coprah oil (from dehydrated coconut pulp) and the maceration process to the final packaging.
Monoï oil is a true source of pride for French Polynesia and one of its main economic pillars, along with black pearls, vanilla and its incredible tourist attractions.
